Mildred “Granny” Hunt, 92, passed away Sunday. She was a longtime member of West Huntsville Church of Christ and worked in daycare.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Hunt, parents, M.H. and Pearl Newby, brother, T.J. Newby, and granddaughter, Kasey Hill. Survivors include daughter, Patsy Hill (Gary); son, Jimmy Hunt (Donna); grandchildren, Korie Pressnell (Chad), Aaron Hunt (Jessica), and Andrew Hunt; and great-grandson, Emmett Pressnell.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 3 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at West Huntsville Church of Christ with Glenn Colley and Paul Owen officiating. Mrs. Hunt will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
