Funeral service for Mrs. Mildred Faye Kimbrough, age 72, of Decatur, Alabama will be on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Kevin Hester and Rev. Eric McKinney officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the chapel. She will be laid to rest in Franklin Memory Gardens following the service.
Mildred Faye Kimbrough was born in Russellville, Alabama on March 1, 1952. She was one of fifteen children born to William and Beatrice Stella Riggs McKinney. Mrs. Kimbrough was a member of Cave Springs Freewill Baptist Church. As a pastor’s wife, she will be remembered as a faithful, loving wife of 50 years to her husband, Rev. Phillip Kimbrough; Momma to her children; and Nana to her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William C. McKinney; sister, Jayne Pierce; brother, Larry McKinney; sister, Joyce Raye McKinney; and Baby McKinney.
Mrs. Kimbrough is survived by her husband, Rev. Phillip Kimbrough; son, Jason Kimbrough (Tammy); daughter, Jennifer Donoho (Chad); brothers, Jimmy McKinney (Linda), Steve McKinney (Betty), Danny McKinney (Sandy), Donald McKinney (Donna), Eric McKinney and Tim McKinney (Susan); sisters, Barbara Boren, Kathy McKinney and Judy McKinney; and her five grandchildren, Anna Grace Donoho, Ben Kimbrough, Luke Donoho, Lacey Kimbrough, and Emma Donoho.
In lieu of flowers, family has requested that donations be made to Clearview Cancer Institute.
Shelton Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
