Mildred Duffey Davis, age 97, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022, at her granddaughter’s home in South Fulton, TN. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, May 16, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Bells Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Dickerson officiating. Burial to follow in the Brownsville Memorial Gardens. A visitation for the Davis family will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022, at the Bells Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. until the service hour at 1:00 P.M. Mrs. Mildred was born in Gibson County, TN on August 23, 1924, to the late James S. Duffey and Jessie Leigh Yeates Duffey. She was a lifelong member of the Allen Baptist Church, and she adored her loving family. Also preceding her in death by her husband of over 60 years: Macon Herman Davis; two sons: Macon H. Davis, Jr. and Lloyd Earl Davis; and one daughter: Anita Charlene Davis; six brothers: Thomas Earl Duffey, Emerson Harold Duffey, Jack Duffey, Jimmy Duffey, Luther Duffey, Woodrow Duffey; five sisters: Martha Cross, Geneva Ives, Clara Duffey, Charlene Duffey and Jamie Jamey. She is survived by one son: Dan Davis (Colene) of IN; one sister: Sarah Patterson of Union, KY; She leaves a legacy of nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
