Funeral service for Mildred Cleo Mooney, 97, of Trinity, will be Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with The Reverand Myron Mooney, The Reverand Jeremiah Mooney, and Rod Keenum officiating. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Decatur City Cemetery.
Mrs. Mooney, who died Saturday, May 11, 2013, at her residence, was born July 31, 1915, in Morgan County to Jerry Royer and Mattie Russell Royer.
Mrs. Mooney was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. She was a very dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Mooney is preceded in death by her husband, Phil Mooney.
She is survived by one son, Myron Mooney (Barbara) of Trinity; two daughters, Linda Keenum of Anniston and Phyllis Slaten (Steve) of Trinity; ten grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
