Mildred Barnett Whitman, 96, of Ardmore, Tennessee passed away March 22, 2021 at NHC in Lewisburg, Tennessee. She was born on March 11, 1925 in Cash Point, Tennessee to Elsie Barnett and Stella Caperton Barnett.
Ms. Mildred lived here all her life, was a member of Cash Point Baptist Church for 85 years, and loved gospel singing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Whitman; and brother, E.C. Barnett.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Fernando) Kanauka; granddaughter, Wendy Whitman; and niece, Betty Currin.
The family will receive friends at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 3 PM – 4 PM. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM at the funeral home with Bro. Derrick Moose and Chester Slayton officiating. Burial will be at Gatlin Cemetery.
Due to Covid-19 and the Statewide Mandate, Mask will be required and must be worn all times when entering the building and while in our facility. Also, 6 ft. social distancing must be practiced.
