Mike Timbs passed away on July 30, 2024 at age 61. The Funeral Service, conducted by Brother Ronnie Gaines, is 1 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2024 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Interment in Wilson County Memorial will follow the service. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearer: Jarrell Hargis. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the service.
James Michael Timbs was born in Lebanon TN to Emma Jean Bucy and William Paul Timbs. He worked as a Master Roofer doing the job he loved for 30 plus years in roofing. Mike loved football, specifically the TN Vols, golfing, spending time with his family, and soccer, all while chewing straws. He was a coach for youth soccer for several years. Mike was always willing to help someone in need and was not shy about his love for the U.S.A.
Mike is survived by wife Rachel Kirkland Timbs, children Ryan Bryson, William Timbs, Joseph Swafford, Richard Benge, and Michael Benge, mother Jean (Jarrell) Hargis, sister Michelle Murrell, and nieces and nephews Joseph Powell, Hunter (Raiel) Wilbanks, and Carla (Daniel) Davis. He is preceded in death by father William Paul Timbs, uncles Charles Timbs, James Howard Timbs, and Paul Bucy, and aunts Linda Moser and Shirley Mathis.
