Funeral services for Mr. Mike Fairless, age 72, will be held at 2 PM Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Salem Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 8 PM Friday at Shelton Funeral Home and from 12 noon until service time at Salem Baptist Church Saturday.
Mr. Fairless passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Trenton Health and Rehab.
Mr. Fairless was a member of the First Baptist Church in Trenton, a retired farmer, outboard mechanic, and bus salesman, he loved to fish and hunt, and had a special love of vintage cars and trucks.
Mr. Fairless was preceded in death by his parents, David and Mary Nell Fairless; a brother, Doil Fairless; and a brother-in-law, Karl Shumaker.
Mr. Fairless is survived by his wife, Darlene Williams Fairless; a sister Nancy Fairless Organ and husband Roger; brother-in-law, Sam Williams and wife Crystal; two sisters-in-law, Sandra Shumaker, and Ruby McCrackin and husband Nelson; seven nieces and nephews, Jeff Organ, Janet Wylie, Jessica Austin, Cheyenne Rushing, Hope Coleman, Dustin Williams, and Samantha Walker; and his companion and service dog, River.
Pallbearers will be Stan Nunley, Mark Fairless, Todd James, Jonathon Austin, Jeff Organ, and Cody Rushing; and honorary bearers will be Ed Fouch, Dallas King, and Charlie Jewell.
