Mickey Lynn Smith age 65 passed away February 16, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born November 1, 1956 in Chester County, the son of the late John Riley and Mary Gladys Terry Smith. He attended Chester County High School. He joined the U.S. Air Force but then transferred to the U.S. Navy for several years.
He worked for Fisher Auto Wholesale for about ten years, until he had to retire due to health problems. He enjoyed fishing, coin collecting and playing the guitar.
Mr. Smith is survived by two daughters, Michelle Julian of Counce, TN and Tosha Thompson of Henderson; five grandchildren, Skye Riley Julian, Savanna Rae Julian, Matthew Lee Dees, Aspen Brooke Murley and Khloe Grace Strawn and one great grandchild, Noble Williams; two sisters, Betty Joe Woodward of Henderson, Doris Patton Smith of Byhalia, MS and Lorraine Terry Peterson of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Larry Paul Smith and sisters, Glenna Smith Lucas, Sharon A. Fisher, Nancy Etta Smith and Patsy Ann Smith.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, Feb. 21st at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel.
Burial will follow in Sweetlips Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at East Main 5 PM until 8 PM on Sunday.
