Mickey Dewayne Brannon, 47, died Sunday, July 19, 2015. Visitation will be noon until 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Brother Paul Pschirer will officiate.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Brannon.
He was a native of Savannah, Tennessee. Known by his smile, most of his friends called him “Catman.” At a young age he was known as the fastest left arm pitcher around and later in life a highly skilled logging operator. He was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church.
Survivors are his mother, Peggy Smith; his daughter, Ashley Wood (Anthony Hester); his sons, Eric Wood and Logan Brannon; stepsons, Cobey and Brady; brother, Barry Brannon (Rebecca); and grandchildren, Austyn, Brycen, Zoe Jane, and Tripp.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Cossey, Keith “Junior” Cummings, Preston Morris, Norman Morris, Coach Barry McFall, and Anthony Hester.
