Michelene Maryanne Frazier “Mickie” of Hazel Green, AL, passed away on September 20, 2024.
Mickie was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on September 10, 1944 to Michael J. and Mary A. Kravitz. She attended St. Vincent’s Catholic High School. She served 36 years of civil service to the Army as a Logistician, assigned to several location throughout the U.S. and Germany. After retiring in 2011, she enjoyed life traveling and supporting her grandchildren in their sports and endeavors.
Mickie was a devoted mother to Terry and Janinne, and grandchildren Kirra, Kaylee, and Peyton. She provided so much love, wisdom, care, etc for her family. She had so much pride and joy for her family near and far, which could be felt and heard in every story she told.
Mickie is proceeded in death by her parents Michael J., Kravitz and Mary A. Kravitz of Plymouth, PA; sister and Brother-in Law Geraldine and Edward Bozek of Wilkes-Barre, PA; Brother-in-law Martin Mrugal Jr. of West Chester, PA; Brother-in-law Paul Kosteva of Vestal, NY. She is survived by her son Terry K. Frazier, Jr. of Hazel Green, AL.; daughter, Janinne M. McCay and her husband Lee of Hazel Green; Sister Josephine Mrugal of West Chester, PA; Sister Patricia Kosteva of Vestal, NY; Grandchildren, Kirra, Kaylee and Peyton McCay of Hazel Green
The family has planned a Celebration of Life on Sunday, September 29, 2024 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Mickie chose to be cremated, so there will be no funeral/burial service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the family to help with expenses. Also the family requests that blue be worn to the Celebration in honor of Mickie’s favorite color.
