Michael Wayne Palmer, 60, resident of Lake Mohawk Community, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday September 17, 2024, at the Tippah County Hospital in Ripley, MS.

Funeral Services honoring the life of Micheal will be at 2 PM Monday September 23, 2024, in the Heritage Chapel of the Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Phillip Gandy officiating, daughter in law, Gena Lynn Price sharing personal reflections, and his daughter, Stephane Palmer reading a poem Mr. Michael wrote. Visitation will be from 11 AM until time of service on Monday September 23, 2024, at the Ripley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in New Harmony Church Cemetery near the Pine Grove Community.

Born August 30, 1964, in Slayden, Louisiana, Mr. Michael was the son of the late Lyle and Mary Ann Steiner Palmer. He was a 1982 graduate of South Haven High School, and on November 26, 1992, he married his beloved wife, Kimberlee Pannell Palmer, who survives. Mr. Michael was blessed with talented hands, as he could just about do anything and was quite the “Jack of all Trades”. If something needed fixing, he firmly believed in doing it himself. He did his own plumbing, wired his own electrical, built his own things, and always had a tool for any and every obstacle that came his way.

A Christan, Mr. Michael was an easy-going man, who enjoyed the simple things life had to offer. He loved being outdoors gardening, listening to classic rock and roll music, tinkering with projects around the house, and working on poetry he had come up with. The backbone of the family, he was an exaptational husband who dedicated his time to his wife, wonderful father who provided for his children, and most importantly, a loving Pawpaw to all his grandchildren who he loved most. Mr. Michael lived a life full of laughter, love, and light, and he will be remembered for the way he loved and cared for others. He will always live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched most.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Kimberlee Pannell Palmer, two daughters, Stephane Palmer (Kyle Kennedy), and Ameleah Ann Palmer (Cory Knight), three sons, Michael Wayne Palmer II (Kaitlyn), Mathew Joseph Palmer (Gena Lynn Price), and Johnathan Mitchell Palmer (Gabrielle Nichole Williams), one sister, Rebecca Mullins (Jason Grider), two brothers, John Robert Palmer, and William “Bill” Palmer (Dianna Sexton), thirteen grandchildren and one on the way.

Ripley Funeral Home invites you to share memories with Mr. Michael’s family.
