Funeral services for Mr. Michael Tapley, age 70 of Lineville, will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Pastor Randall Skinner and Pastor Benny Morrison officiating. Burial will follow at Ashland City Cemetery.
Mr. Tapley passed away on January 23, 2024 at his home after a very brief illness. He was born in Alexander City and lived most of his life in this area. Michael worked at Ace Products for over 20 years, spent the last few years working at Wellmade Cabinets in Lineville and was a member of Bethel west Baptist Church. He always helped take care of his family and was the go to phone call if help was needed. Michael loved church, reading fishing and being outdoors. He was a devoted husband, father and friend.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy Tapley; two daughters, Teresa Mitchell and Belinda Craft; four grandchildren, Tyler Brown(Amber), Brooke Brown, Autumn Craft and Ashton Craft; one great-grandson, Ezra Bryson Tapley; five siblings, Roger Tapley, Darlene Finch, Sandra McCurry, Donna Smith and Barbara Blocker; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Louise Tapley and a brother, Jerry Tapley.
His visitation will take place on Saturday, January 26, 2024 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville from 5:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
