Funeral services for Mr. Michael Steven Abbitt, age 68, will be held at 11 AM on Monday, November 20, 2023 in the Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Davidson Yard Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 PM until 8 PM.
Mr. Abbitt, a superintendent for Ace Electric, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023 in Dallas, TX.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Abbitt.
Mr. Abbitt is survived by his wife, Carole Abbitt; mother, Francis Abbitt; two daughters, Rhonda Abbitt of Medina and Jennifer (Jeremy) Chessor of Jackson; a son, Tony (Amy) Abbitt of Talbot; a step-daughter, Sabrina; a step-son, Jeremy; two brothers, Larry Abbitt of Trenton and James Abbitt of Jacks Creek; eight grandchildren, Gabe Moore, Elijah Moore, Jasmine Abbitt, Maliya Chessor, Avery Chessor, Samantha Abbitt, Lane Abbitt, Emily (Landon) Whiting; six step-grandchildren, Lexie, Carole Ann, Catherine, Jessica Noah and Eli; and a great grandchild, Jalynn Nucamendi.
