Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Michael Patrick Kennedy, age 59 of Winchester. Mr. Kennedy went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 2. 2021. He is preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Kennedy in 2011. He leaves to mourn his passing, his daughter, Jacqueline Kennedy of Nashville; his son, Patrick Kennedy of Murfreesboro; mother and father, Reba Mason Kennedy and Mike Virgil Kennedy, both of Winchester; sister, Joy Kennedy also of Winchester; his long-time companion, Ginger Dudley of Huntland; his former wife and mother of his children, Karen Kennedy of Murfreesboro; and his constant and loving canine companion, Skeeter. Mike was a 1979 graduate of Franklin County High School. He honorably and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp Reserve. He worked as a Welder and Tool and Die Maker for several local manufacturers. He was a member of the Winchester First Baptist Church. He was always eager to lend a helping hand, and spent many a happy hour riding his motorcycles. Family and friends will gather at 2 p.m. Monday April 5, 2021 at Mt. Garner Cemetery in Decherd for a graveside service with Rev. Tim Brown officiating, after which he will be laid to rest alongside his son, Jeffrey.
