Michael Murillo, Jr., fondly referred to by many as “Spikey Mike,” departed this life unexpectedly on December 20, 2023.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at a visitation scheduled for Wednesday, December 27, 2023, from 3:00 – 5:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 5:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with local arrangements.
Michael was born on July 17, 1984, in Orange, California, and was the son of Michael and Edna Murillo, Sr. and Linda Martinez Murillo. He was a 2002 graduate of Temecula Valley High School. Known for his culinary skills, Michael was the driving force behind Murillo’s Catering in Mt. Pleasant. Additionally, he previously worked as a bartender at Ruby Tuesday for many years. An avid lover of the outdoors, Michael cherished moments of camping, kayaking, canoeing, and golfing. An infectious smile, Michael was confident, took pride in his appearance, and enjoyed going to the gym, and listening to music. His deepest love was reserved for his family, especially his cherished sons, Kasin, Kamdin, and Michael.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, Kasin Murillo, Kamdin Murillo, Michael Murillo, III, sisters, Urica (Terrance) Webster of Columbia, Lina (Eric) Winters of Spring Hill, nieces and nephews, Robert Hershman, Dolores Medina, Noah Galvan, Urijah Galvan, Jannah Galvan, Anthony Kelley, Corbin Winters, Kendall (Graham) Keeter, best friend, Robert Rodriguez, friend, Chris White, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dolores Luna Murillo and Catarino Murillo.
