Michael “Mike” Lawrence MacLaren, 49, of Haleyville, entered into rest on March 11, 2017.
Mr. MacLaren was born on May 4, 1967, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mike was a 1986 graduate from Winston County High School and went on to serve his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed crossword puzzles and playing games on his phone.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Barnett Chapel Church, Double Springs from 6-9pm, where services will be Monday at 2pm. He will lie in state from 1-2pm. Brother Chris Meador and Brother Delmar Duboise will officiate. Burial will follow in adjoining cemetery.
Mike is survived by his wife, Docie Dill; mother, Betty Claborn; step-sons, Randy (Pam) Pruitt, Danny Pruitt, Darrin Pruitt, Ricky (Tammy) Pruitt; step-sisters, Loretta (Stephen) Plemmons, Emily Pruitt; brothers, Duane MacLaren, Robert (Jennifer) MacLaren, Paul (Shannon) MacLaren, Scott (Shawna) Claborn; step-sisters, Jackie Tyler and Janie (Tim) Burch. He was “Paw Paw” to 13 step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, William “Bill” Claborn and step-brother Ricky Claborn.
