Michael “Mike” Keith Watts – Obituary

MikeMichael “Mike” Keith Watts, 64, of Haleyville, entered into rest Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Walker Baptist Medical Center.

He was born on February 16, 1950 in Albertville, Alabama. Mike was a member of Pleasant Hill Church #2, graduated from Crossville High School in 1968 and was a long haul truck driver all his adult life. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching his grandsons play football, talking to people he knew and even the people he did not know and Auburn football.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 18, 2014 from 12-2pm at Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Haleyville, where services will be held at 2pm. Pastor Benny Knight and Wes Watts will officiate. Burial will follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery.

Mike is survived by his son, Wes Watts and his wife Kenda; daughter, Jennifer White; mother, Nell Jones Watts; brothers, Ronnie (Gayle) Watts and Freddy (Marilyn) Watts. He was “Papa Mike” to four grandchildren, Billy, Jesse, Cason and Bella Grace Watts.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Wallace D. Watts and infant brother, Edward Neil Watts.
