Obituary of Michael Booth Storey Michael “Mike” Booth Storey, 77, of Buckhead, Georgia, went to be with the Lord while surrounded by family on December 24, 2024.

Mike was born on March 20, 1947 to Albert Elmo and Frances Loyd Storey in Elkton, Tennessee. After graduating high school, Mike went on to join the U.S. Army where he served overseas in Vietnam.

After returning home, he married Shelby Jean Rodgers of Elkton, Tennessee.

Mike and Shelby went on to have one son, Michael Anthony Storey, and twin grandchildren, Alyssa Jade Storey and Lukas Alexander Storey. He and Shelby have resided in Putnam County for the last 34 years where he volunteered with the fire department for 15 years. During this time, he helped organize the Sugar Creek FD and build Station 11.

In his free time, Mike enjoyed spending time with family and friends, riding jet skis on the lake, and riding his motorcycle to new places. His family will remember his sense of humor and adventure.

Mike was preceded in death by his sisters Judy and Carol. He is survived by his wife, Shelby, his brother, Wilbur, his son, Anthony (Paula), and his grandchildren, Alyssa (Eddie) and Lukas (Kaylie).

Visitation will be Sunday December 29, 2024 12:30-2pm at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with Funeral Service at 2. Interment will be following in Elkton Cemetery.
