Michael Lynn Scaggs, Sr. of Jackson, TN, passed away on Thursday October 24, 202, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of love and craftsmanship that will be cherished by all who knew him. Born on Monday March 8, 1948, in Granite City, IL, Michael dedicated his life to his family and his work, making a lasting impact on those around him.
As a self individual at BMS Trailer Repair, Michael utilized his remarkable skills as a handyman and jack of all trades, demonstrating his profound ability to build and create with his hands. His passion for working with tools and materials was only surpassed by the love he held for his family.
In his personal life, Michael was a devoted husband for 39 years to Sandy Scaggs, with whom he shared an extraordinary bond. His love for Sandy was evident in every aspect of his life, as he truly cherished her more than his own life. Together, they cultivated a deep and meaningful relationship, marked by mutual respect and unwavering support.
Michael also took great joy in reading his Bible daily, a testament to his faith and commitment to Jesus. He found solace and strength in his beliefs, values that guided him throughout his life.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Scaggs; his son, Michael Scaggs, Jr.; his brothers, William “Bill” Scaggs and Larry Scaggs; his sister, Nancy Johnson; and his cherished granddaughter, Samantha Bruckner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Scaggs, Sr. and Dorothy Johnisee Potter.
The family will have a private memorial to remember his life and love.
