Michael Lewis Stewart, 62, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at NMMC-Pontotoc. Mike graduated from South Pontotoc High School and ICC, where he received a degree in Maintenance/HVAC. He operated his own business, Budget Air, for many years, taking pride in treating people fairly. Mike enjoyed racing and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was a member of Pontotoc Lodge #81 and served as the Deputy District Grand Lecturer of the Grand Lodge of the great state of Mississippi. Mike loved his family, was a great Dad and Pawpaw, and took them on many trips and adventures. He be greatly missed by everyone.
Survivors include his siblings, Teri Stewart Vogler (Randy), John Alvis Stewart III (Vickie), and Sam Stewart (Marianie), two sons, Michael Lewis Stewart Jr and Robert Bradley Stewart, his grandchildren, Michael Lewis Stewart III, Anna Renee Stewart, Colton Lewis Stewart, Jaxon Lane Stewart, and Haley Grace Gonzales, also many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Alvis Stewart Sr, Ollie Mae Eubanks, Milton Eubanks, Lewis S. Shettles, and E.V. Shettles, his parents, John Alvis Stewart and Dorthea “Dot” Jean Shettles Stewart.
Services will be Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 12PM at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. Mark Stewart officiating. Visitation will begin at 10AM. Burial will follow in Eddington Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jake Ivy, Michael “Trey” Stewart III, Colton Stewart, David Hall, Sam Stewart, and Robert Stewart. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kelly Stewart and Joe Prater.
