Michael Keith Raper, 65, passed away July 6, 2024 at Terrace Manor Nursing and Rehab Russellville, AL. He was born on May 14, 1959 to Thurston and Jewell Dabbs Raper. He was a member of The Church of God in Belmont, MS. He owned and operated M&D Farm Equipment in Red Bay, AL. for 25 years.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 9, 11 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel Red Bay, AL. with Lisa Pharr and Tony Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Red Bay City Cemetery, Red Bay, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL. will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Raper; one daughter, Keitha Keele (Vencent); one grandson, Michael “Kilbey” Miller; mother-in- law, Janie Robinson; four brothers, Gary Raper (Sue), Allen Raper, Scotty Raper (Brenda) and Timothy Raper; one sister, Judy Pounds (Rance) and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Bobby Raper, Larry Raper and Johnny Raper.
Pallbearers will be Grayling Cromeans, Alton Hester, Doug Cates, Jeff Farris, Byron Sartain, Kilbey Miller and Tim Fowler. Honorary pallbearer will be Jacob Tate.
Visitation will be Monday, July 8, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
