Michael Joe Meador – Obituary

Michael Joe Meador was born November 1, 1947 in Ramer, TN the son of the late Joe Noah and Lola Rae Dollar Meador.

He was united in marriage to Leandra Spurgin on February 22, 1972.

Mr. Meador was a self-employed logger and farmer for over 20 years. He had previously worked at Pinkerton Detective Agency in Cleveland, Ohio and I.T.T. in Corinth, MS. He was a member of the Olive Hill Baptist Church in Guys, Tennessee. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Meador was a combat veteran. He served one tour in the Korean Conflict and two tours in the Vietnam War. He proudly and honorably wore the United States Army uniform. He sacrificed so much for the love of his country.

Mr. Meador departed this life on January 22, 2016 in Ramer, Tennessee at the age of 68 Years, 2 Months, 21 Days. He is survived by his wife, Leandra Meador of Ramer, TN; a godson, Barry Lee Thacker; three nieces, Susan Lynn Carpenter and husband Michael, Kendra Marie Coreno-Telling and husband Alan, and Caroline Anne Coreno; a great-nephew, Adam Michael Carpenter; a great-niece, Ashleigh Marie Walker and husband, Jeremy; a great-great-niece, Nettie Elizabeth Walker; and a brother-in-law, Joseph Anthony Coreno.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Meador was preceded in death by two sisters, Nettie Ruth Coreno, Linda Ann Humphrey.
