Michael Ira Slaton, 73, of Lester, passed away on Monday, February 24th, 2025, at his residence. Mr. Slaton was born on July 26th, 1951, in Harrisburg, Arkansas, to Elwood and Frances (Hunt) Slaton.
Mr. Slaton is survived by his wife Mary (Becky) Slaton; sisters Motheatis Downs, Toni Hamley, and Della Griffin; brothers Casey Slaton (Kennetha) and Mark Slaton (Brooke); sons Chris Slaton (Amanda) and Steve Robinson (Linda); daughters Kelli Slaton and Tammy Wrape (Jimmy); grandchildren Dylan Cottles, Kennedy Slaton, Bailee Robinson, Preston Robinson, Jordan Wrape (Lisa), and Allison Lacour (Drew); great-grandchildren Noah Cottles, Brendan Lacour, and Camille Wrape.
He is preceded in death by his parents Elwood Casey Slaton and Frances Raye Hunt Slaton.
Graveside service for Mr. Slaton will be Wednesday, February 26th, 2025, at Roselawn Cemetery, at 2:00 p.m., with Paul Sheehan officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 25th, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Wrape, Steve Robinson, Charles Black, David Black, Gary Compton, and Tink Haney. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Slaton was married to the love of his life for thirty-two years, Becky Slaton. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of New Hope Church of Christ. Mr. Slaton was a humble man who just loved people. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with family and being outdoors.
