Michael Frank Johnson, of Pontotoc MS, passed away suddenly on March 17, 2025. He was born on April 5, 1966, to the late Frank Johnson and Brenda Richey Johnson (Shetler) in Tupelo, MS. Michael spent most of his childhood in Tupelo, where he attended Lawhon School and Tupelo High School. He graduated from Tupelo High School in 1984, where he enjoyed being active in the band and playing the trumpet. Michael had a gift and skill of working with his hands in carpentry, repair and maintenance. He later used his skills specializing in the HVAC trade and owned and operated Pacific Heating & Cooling. He worked countless hours repairing and installing heating and AC systems for those in his local communities. Michael never met a stranger and loved to talk! He enjoyed talking and visiting with his many customers over the years.
In February of 1993, Michael married his loving and devoted wife, Faith Tedford. They were blessed with three children, Tamara, Brandon, and Marissa, and seven grandchildren, who will forever cherish the memories made over the years.
Michael found solace in the great outdoors. He was most happy when spending time deer hunting, hiking or just being in nature with his family and friends over the years.
Michael leaves behind his wife of 32 years, Faith Johnson; his 3 children, Tamara Parker (Ben), Brandon Johnson (Breauna), Marissa Fowler (Thomas); grandchildren, Killian Parker, Atticus Parker, Eden Parker, Swayze Johnson, Luella Johnson, Mariah Fowler, Ryder Fowler and Baby Girl Fowler coming July 2025; sister, Melanie Adkins (James Reeves); stepbrother, Bryan Johnson (Ashley); brother-in-law, Frederick Flatt; and many very special extended family and friends.
Michael is preceded in death by his sister, Michelle Flatt, mother Brenda Shetler, step-father Joe Shetler, and father Frank Johnson.
