Michael DeLeon Barr, age 63, of Lacey’s Spring, Alabama passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Huntsville Hospital. He was born July 12, 1960 to DeLeon Barr Jr. and Katie Barr in Brundidge, Alabama.
Mike graduated from Grissom High School in 1978. He loved spending time with his family and Alabama football.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Anita Oakes Barr; son, Cody Farr; mother, Katie Barr, granddaughter, Sophie Barr; brothers, Ricky Barr, Tommy Barr (Pam), Ronnie Barr (Alice) and several nephews and nieces.
Mike was preceded in death by his daughter, Amber Barr Johnson; father, DeLeon Barr Jr. and sister, Tamara Barr Bice.
The family will receive extended family, friends and guest at a visitation service Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Valhermoso Springs Holiness Church Cemetery, 384 Johnson Landing Road, Valhermoso Springs, AL. Brother Tim Patrick will officiate. Pallbearers escorting Mike to his final resting place will be: Ronnie Barr, Brandon Muzzey, Phillip Oakes and David Bice.
