Michael David Long, 58, of Rogersville, Alabama, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024 at his residence.
He was born in Memphis, Tennessee, later the family relocated to Los Angeles, California and ultimately settled in San Diego County, California. Upon graduation he worked in California in the automotive industry for Tom Russell Chevron and Broadway Auto Electric.
Mike and his wife, Jonna, moved to Rogersville, Alabama in April of 2020. In Alabama, he worked as a rural carrier out of the Trinity Post Office and substituted for various other locations.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnie & Diane Long. Survivors include his wife, Jonna; step sons, Eric and Brandon Johnston; brothers, Jay (Yvonne) Long, Chuck (Renee) Long, Bill (Tamera) Long and Steven (Candace) Long; seven nieces and nephews; aunt, Barbie and cousin, Jeffery.
Mike was full of fun, always talking and enjoyed life. He loved his friends, bowling, football, baseball and softball.
He was well like by everyone that knew him.
