Mr. Michael D. Simpson Sr, 55, of Irvington, N.J.

died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014.

Visitation with the family will be today, 5-7 p.m., at Thompson and Son Funeral Home, Florence, Ala.

The funeral service will be

1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at

Rock Primitive Baptist Church, Florence, Ala.

The body will be placed in the church at noon.

Burial will be in Rock Church Cemetery, Florence, Ala.

Public viewing will be today, 9 a.m.-8 p.m.

Mr. Simpson is a former resident of Florence, Ala..

Thompson and Son Funeral Home, Florence, is directing.
