Michael Collins Camp Michael Collins Camp, 68 of Cherokee Ridge passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023, at his home. Mike was born January 29, 1955 in Arab the son of James Howard Camp and Nellie Ruth Collins Camp. He was a 1973 graduate of Arab High School, attended Gadsden State Junior College, and was a graduate of Athens State University. He retired as Vice President of Manufacturing and General Manager from Norris Cylinder Company in June 2020 after a 45-year career in the compressed cylinder industry. He was a Believer and a member and deacon of Arab First Baptist Church.

Mike was an only child and lost his mother early in life at the tender age of 8. He was always thankful and appreciative of the love and devotion shown to him by his extended family throughout his life. He was predeceased by his parents; his grandparents Earnest and Rosa Camp, and Dewey and Lucille Collins; aunts Rheba Camp, Lolette Camp King, and Carolyn Collins Parker; and uncle Jerry Collins.
He is survived by his wife of over 48 years, Donna Huggins Camp; his beloved daughter and son-in-law, Erin Amanda Camp-Meeks and Jay Meeks; his aunts Kate Camp Rutledge (J.C.), Barbara Collins Scott, Jane Collins Saylor (Mike); his uncle James Larry Collins (Carol); and many cousins and friends.

Funeral Service will be 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2023, at the Arab First Baptist Church with Brother Paul Murphy officiating. Entombment will be in the Brookwood Mausoleum, Gober Funeral Chapel directing. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until service time at 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the Arab First Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to Arab First Baptist Church or the Marshall Cancer Center will be appreciated.
