michaelMichael Charles Glazik, 54, of Madison passed away Thursday in Huntsville. He grew up in Alton, IL, and lived in Madison, AL for 19 years. He was a civilian worker for the Department of the Army for 31 years and was employed as Associate Aviation Director at AMCOM. He was preceded in death by his step-mother-in-law: Verna Smith and his brother-in-law: Bob Schirmer. Survivors include his wife of 27 years: Carolyn L. Glazik; sons: Kyle Glazik and Brandon Glazik (Jenny Wan) and their son: Bruce Wan Glazik; parents: Rudie and Val Glazik; two sisters: Karen Glazik (Peter Kacmarek) and Kathy Quintanar (Ken); father-in-law: James Smith; mother-in-law: Dorothy Fleming (Hal); sisterin-law: Pat Schirmer; brotherin-law: Randy Smith (Mike Schwartz); nieces: Corinne K a c m a r e k (Gene Puerta), Carissa Kacmarek, Savannah Quintanar, Katie Biermann (Mike), Abby Schirmer and Jackie Schirmer; nephew: Quinn Quintanar; greatne p h e w s : Henry Biermann and Albert Biermann. Visitation will be Thursday Nov. 03, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home followed by a Chapel service at 6:00 p.m. with Dr. Rev. Alan Weatherly and Chaplain Adolph DuBose officiating. A visitation will be held Saturday, Nov. 05, 2016 from 10:00 a.m.unti 12:00 p.m. at Kassly Funeral Home in Fairview Heights, IL with a service to follow at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Larry Patton officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Garden of Memory in Belleville, IL.
