Michael “Bulldawg” McKelvey

Michael “Bulldawg” McKelvey, 73, of Brownsboro, Alabama, passed away on Monday.  Michael was born in 1949 in Huntsville, Alabama.  He had retired from the City of Huntsville Parking Division after 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John C. & Ann McKelvey;  His sister, Sandra Buchanan;  His son, Scott McKelvey;  His daughter, Karen McKelvey;  and his granddaughter, Kristin Williams.

Surviving family members include his wife of 25 years, Valerie Worsham McKelvey;  His son, Brad (Jennifer) McKelvey;  His son, David (Jessica) Tunstill;  His son, Matthew (Krystal) Lusk;  His daughter, Amy (Travis) Baxter;  His brother, Jerry (Cindy McKelvey);  He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and by his lifelong friend, Danny Hill.

Mike was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He loved the Atlanta Braves and Alabama Football.  Everyone who knew Mike loved him.  Mike loved his family and teaching his boys to hunt – and he loved talking about hunting.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12pm until 2pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 2pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Janice Mitchell officiating.  Burial will follow and will be in Stateline Cemetery.
