Mr. Michael Boyde “Mike” Hill, age 57 of Bolivar, passed away after a lengthy illness Monday afternoon, October 7, 2013 at his home.
Mr. Hill was born July 5, 1956 in Memphis to Mrs. Billie Majors of Bolivar and the late Boyde Hill. In 1969, his family moved to Hardeman County and he was united in marriage to the former Janet Vandiver, who survives, May 23, 1976. He worked for over 40 years in flooring and owned Mike Hill Carpeting. He was a member of the Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Bolivar as well as a former member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed skydiving, deep sea fishing and para-sailing.
In addition to his wife of 37 years and his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Jansen Miley Hill of Bolivar; three brothers, Larry Hill, Donald Hill and David Hill, all of Bolivar; five sisters, Amber Wiles of Nashville, Barbara Brooks of Medon, Sheila Martin of Pocahontas, Robin Majors of Bolivar, and Kelly Craft of Maryville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, his son, Jan-Michael Hill, who passed away May 7, 1992; brother, Gary Hill; and sister, Patricia Hill.
