Michael Anthony Hood, 64, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at at his home in Smithville. He was born August 16, 1959 to the late Wayne Hood and the late Carolyn Pearce Hargett in Tupelo. He worked at C&W Trailers and various other fabrication shops before he retired due to his health. Mike was known not only for his welding skills but also for being a computer wiz. He enjoyed hunting, working on computers and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 pm on Wednesday October 11, 2023 at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Jarrell officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 pm – 2 pm on Wednesday October 11 at Senter Funeral Home.
Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Mike is survived by his wife of 46 years, Tammy Hood of Smithville, son, Michael (Lori) Hood of Albertville, AL, daughter, Amanda (Robbie) Maxey of Smithville, grandchildren, Renea Call of Albertville, AL, Megan Hood of Alberville, AL, Hayden Hood of Smithville, Samantha Hood of Alberville, AL, and Baylie Hood of Smithville, brothers, Tony (Lynn) Grady of Fairview, and Todd Grady of Tremont, brother in law, Clayton Turner of Tupelo, sister in laws, Toni Turner of Fulton, and Sarah Turner of Fulton, aunt, Linda Webb of Smithville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne Hood, and Carolyn Hargett.
Pallbearers will be Alan Grady, Lee Grady, David Mills, and Turner Bryant.
