Funeral service for Michael Anders, 71, will be Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Lebanon Baptist Church with Dr. Randy Ashley officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Herring Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Lebanon Baptist Church.
Mr. Anders died on Monday, October 23, 2023 at his residence. He was born January 11, 1952, in Morgan County, to Howard Burleson Anders and Margie Bessie Mitchell Anders.
He was a member of the Lebanon Baptist Church, was a loving husband and father and loved his pet donkey “Festus”. He enjoyed taking road trips and travel across the United States. He also loved Alabama football and NASCAR. He was employed with the Security Police of the United States Air Force and worked for the Hartselle Police Department, as a Jailer, after retiring from T.V.A. Police.
In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorial donations be made to the Gideons International.
