Michael Allen Thompson, age 62, of Southside, AL passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022. A graveside service will be held at 4:00PM on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Brother Chris Cornutt will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph A. Lowery and Nancy E. Lowery; parents, John Clint Thompson and Betty Jean Thompson Lafoe; brother, Raymond Thompson; and son, Jason Allen Thompson.
He is survived by his son, Charles Joseph (Vennesa) Thompson; daughter, Jillian Marie Miller; grandchildren, Colby Lancaster, Emma Lancaster, Connor Miller, Jaycee Miller, William Miller, Kameron Thompson, and Morgan Thompson; and siblings, Johnny (Judy) Thompson, Joyce (Allan) Soester, Guy (Marie) Thompson, James Thompson, Charles (Wendy) Lafoe, and Rodney (Shawna) Lafoe; and sister-in-law, Cindy Thompson.
Pallbearers will be Carey Hill, Marcus Christmas, Colby Lancaster, Randy Thompson, Jimmy Thompson, and Clint Thompson.
The family will accept friends from 2:00PM until 3:30PM at the funeral home on Tuesday.
