Meth And Marijuana Result In Arrest Of Four

HARTSELLE-Drug Bust in Hartselle by the Morgan County Sheriff’s department Drug Task Force nets meth and marijuana along with minor children in the house.  Here is how Sheriff Ana Franklin describe the arrests of the four individuals pictured below:

“On Wednesday, February 11th, 2015, Morgan County Drug Task Force Agents, along with deputies, went to 309 Gum Springs Cut Off Road in Hartselle to serve a felony warrant for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine on James Roy Grantland, 31. As agents made entry into the residence, Grantland pulled out of the driveway. Deputies stopped him a short distance down the road and took him into custody. Agents made contact with several subjects in the residence. Agents immediately smelled the odor of burnt marijuana and were advised by several individuals that marijuana was being smoked in the residence. Agents made contact with Jonathan Thomas Farley, 28, and Magen Danielle Linderman, 26, in the master bedroom. Ms. Linderman was holding her 9 month old baby. Agents observed syringes, and burnt aluminum foil on the floor of the bathroom. Agents observed a plastic baggie with a white powdery substance and marijuana in the toilet as it was attempted to be flushed. Agents identified the powdery substance as being methamphetamine. Agents also identified Elizabeth Renee Ash, 20, and a 17-year-old juvenile in the kitchen. Agents obtained a search warrant signed by Judge Thompson for the residence. Agents executed the search warrant and located items that were consistent with the manufacture of methamphetamine. Agents located empty cold medicine boxes, lithium batteries, acid, ammonia nitrate fertilizer, and an empty bottle of lye.
Morgan County DHR was called to the scene in reference to the juveniles located in the residence. Juveniles were placed in a safety plan with family members. Agents charged James Roy Grantland with Unlawful Manufacture of a Controlled Substance 1st with a $25,000.00 bond, in addition to the felony warrant, which had a $2,500.00 bond. Agents charged Jonathan Thomas Farley with Unlawful Manufacture of a Controlled Substance 1st, with a $25,000.00 bond, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth), with a $2,500.00 bond, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd, with a $300.00 bond. Agents charged Magen Danielle Linderman with Drug Endangerment of a Child and Loitering in a Drug House. Linderman has no bond due to being on state probation for theft. Agents charged Elizabeth Renee Ash with Loitering in a Drug House with a $300.00 bond.
Grantland and Farley were decontaminated by Oden Ridge VFD. All subjects remain in the Morgan County Jail.:
