Mr. Melvin “Fayne” Henderson, age 65, of the Union Hill community of Morgan County passed away at his residence on Friday morning, December 20, 2024. Fayne was born November 17, 1959 in Marshall County, AL to John Elbert Henderson and Clara Belle Criscoe Henderson. Fayne was a Brewer High School graduate and worked as a Chemical operator in a manufacturing plant.
Fayne was an avid Alabama fan. He loved to watch the Tide and cherished all things crimson. He was an uncomplicated man devoted to his family. He had a deep fondness for dogs, especially rescues.
Fayne is survived by his sons, Jonathan T. Kent and Jimmy Kent; grandson, Jacob S. Kent; sisters, Mary E. Westbrooks, Patricia Ann Dunaway (Tim Greenhaw); brothers, Thomas L. Henderson (Elizabeth Woodruff) and Johnny R. Henderson; a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews,
In addition to his parents, John and Clara Henderson, Fayne is preceded in death by his sisters, Sandra G. Becker and Sherry Sue Rowe.

Services for Fayne will be Monday, December 23, 2024 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00. Brother Jeff Griffis will be officiating. Escorting Fayne to his final resting place in Mount Olive Cemetery will be Jonathan Kent, Jacob Kent, Jimmy Kent, Tommy Henderson, Byron Westbrooks, and Kevin Rooks.
