Melvin Beck, age 79 of Albertville passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at his home.
His funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 1, 2024 at High Point Baptist Church. He will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery. Bro. Larry Camp and Bro. Stanley Jones will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Jacob Sims, Matthew Hurd, Scott Hurd, Tommy Henderson, Jacob Haynes and Mark Hampton. Robert Glover will serve as an honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Albertville Memorial Chapel. He will lie in state from 9 until 10 before the service at the church.
He is survived by his wife; Susan Beck, daughters; Teresa Sims (James) and Melissa Hurd, grandchildren; Jacob Sims and Matthew Hurd, siblings; Marvin Beck (Joyce), Mayron Beck (Betsy), Shirrill Beck (Sonya), Herbert Beck (Marcia), Shannon Beck (Reba), Marlene Frachiseur (Jimmy) and Edna Cook (David) and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; J. L. and Sybil Beck and five brothers and one sister.
