Melody McConnell, age 56 of Athens, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021. She was born in Lincoln County, Tennessee November 17,1964 to James Dupree McConnell and Sarah Margarette Merrell McConnell.
Melodye was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Mark McConnell.
She is survived by her son James Patterson. She is also survived by her brothers James A. (Tony) McConnell (Paula), Jerry McConnell (Arlynn), Tim McConnell (Joyce) and her sister Beverly Ann Browning (Michael). She also leaves to cherish her memories her grandchildren Bella Rose McConnell, Emma Grace McConnell and Lucas James McConnell.
Melodye was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. She wrote poetry, loved Alabama Football and riding through the back roads and hills of the country. But mostly she loved her grandchildren.
Graveside service will be Wednesday September 8,2021 at 12:00PM at Blanche Cemetery. Brother Lynne Marshall will be officiating.
