Melissa South, age 36, of Hamilton, AL, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at the residence. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 1:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Carter Cemetery in Detroit, AL. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00pm until service time at 1:00pm. Bro. Dean South and Bro. BJ Mills to officiate the services.
Melissa was born on November 11, 1986 in Russellville, AL to the late Benny South and the late Mattie McCann. She attended Sulligent High School. Melissa previously worked in the food industry working at Taco Bell in Hamilton, AL and Macs Minit Mart in Sulligent, AL. She enjoyed cooking and painting.
