Mrs. Melissa Smith Farmer, 64 of Union Grove passed away on March 11th at home
surrounded by her family.
She was a devout Christian woman, a loving wife, selfless mother, caring grandmother
and great grandmother.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, Casper W. Farmer; children, Misty
D. Cotton, Frances D. Cornelius (David), Joshua W. L. Farmer; seven grandchildren and
two great grandchildren.
Melissa was preceded in death by; mother, Norma H. Smith; Freeland Smith and
grandson, Jonathon W. Farmer.
Funeral services will be held at Pine Grove Baptist Church #1 Wyeth Mtn Road on
Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 3pm, a visitation will be from 2pm until the time of service.
Melissa will be laid to rest in the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Gavin Bray,
Madison Cotton, Nathen Japczyk, Addie Japczyk, Trenton Cornelius, and Kyle Cornelius
serving as pallbearers, and David Cornelius as honorary pallbearer.
The family would like to thank everyone for their kindness and support during their time
of bereavement.
