Melissa Marie Allen Gray, 43 of Athens, passed away Saturday April 20, 2024, at Athens Limestone Hospital.
Mellissa was born on December 29, 1980, in Jackson, Mississippi, to Sidney Allen and Mary Ann Cooper Allen. She was a member at Lucas Ferry Friendship Methodist Church Athens, Alabama. Her mission in life was taking care of her family and helping others, her escape was cutting her grass with her John Deere Z-Turn riding mower.
She was preceded in death by first husband, Paul Nance; and her mother.
Mellissa is survived by her second husband, Adam Gray, of Athens, AL; son, Cole Gray of Athens, AL; father, Sidney (Dahlia) Allen of Athens, AL; one brother, Sidney (Heather) Allen, Jr. of Lake Lure, NC; one niece, one nephew and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A visitation will be Tuesday, April 23,2024, from 5 to 8 PM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama and Wednesday, April 24, 2024, from 10 AM to 12 Noon with Funeral Service to follow at 12 noon at Lucas Ferry Friendship Methodist Church in Athens. Alabama. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, Alabama.
