Funeral services for Melissa June Jowers Gutierrez, age 53, are scheduled for 11 am, Saturday, January 18, 2014 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Jowers Cemetery. Mrs. Gutierrez passed away Tuesday in Memphis. She was born December 27, 1960 in Lexington. She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Nelson Jowers and her husband, Mr. Manuel Gutierrez. Survivors include her two children, Thomas (Maria) Gutierrez of Lexington and Stacy (Troy) Pollock of Southaven, MS , her mother, Mrs. Wanda Wooley Perry of Lexington, two brothers, Timmy Jowers of Lexington and Michael Jowers of Texas, two sisters, Cindy Rich of Lexington and Paula Cary of Yuma, and five grandchildren, Chasity, Kayla, and Thomas Gutierrez, Dallas and Alyssa Pollock.
