Melissa Ann Koenig Smith age 41 of Michie, TN, formerly of Cheektowaga, NY was born July 17, 1974 in Cheektowaga, NY. She bowled on the Maryvale High School Bowling Team for 4 years. She graduated with high honors from Kaplan University in 2012 for Paralegal Studies. Melissa enjoyed bowling, watching Buffalo team sports, Alabama Football and loved her family.
She is survived by a son, Steven Michael Koenig of Savannah, TN; her mother, Patricia Inez La Rue Koenig of Michie, TN; two sisters, Belinda Stockmeyer and husband Mario of Forestville, NY, Amy Leistner and husband John of Cheektowaga, NY; a granddaughter, Anastasia Melissa Grace Koeing born on June 28, 2016; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Melissa was preceded in death by her father, Douglas Paul Koenig.
