Funeral Services for Mrs. Melba Jo Hickman Webb, age 84 of Eufaula, will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Joseph McCreight officiating. Burial will follow at the Millerville Community Cemetery.
Melba Jo passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024 while surrounded by her family. She was born in Millerville, Alabama and was a graduate of Bibb Graves High School. She lived a full and happy life, blessed with good health, a loving family, and friends she adored. Her and Arthur were married 56 years and they enjoyed to travel. Cades Cove in the Great Smokey Mountains was their favorite destination. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt.
Mrs. Webb was preceded in death by her parents, James H. and Lillie Mae Royster Hickman; her husband, Arthur Ray Webb; and her sister, Geraldine “Deannie” Hickman Willis.
She was survived by her son, Ray Webb (Susan) of Eufaula; three grandchildren: Joshua Webb (Christian), Steven Webb (Jessica), and Rachel Webb; seven great-grandchildren: Westin Staples, Anniston Webb, Amber Webb, Reid Webb, Maddie Webb, Jeremiah Webb, and Meredith Webb; one sister, Peggy Smith of Ashland, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Active Pallbearers will be Joshua Webb, Steven Webb, Ray Webb, Steve Smith, Perry Webb, and Darroll Hornsby.
Her visitation will take place on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland from 12:00 until service time at 1:00 P.M.
Flowers will be accepted; however the family prefers that memorial donations be made to the Millerville Baptist Church in Millerville, Alabama or Sardis Free Will Baptist Church of Eufaula, Alabama.
