Melba Freeze Henley, age 74, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024, after a short battle of cancer. She was a graduate of Morrison High School. She was an active member of Way of the Cross Baptist Church in Winchester. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed gardening and canning. A beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who loved to dance and collect jewelry. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ashley and Jannie Freeze of the Shady Grove Community. She is survived by her husband, William C. Henley, who was the love of her life over the last eight years, and his family. Daughter, Melody Bell (Chris); son, John Douglas Freeman; son, Jimmy Webb. Granddaughter, Kelsey Smith; triplet grandsons, Harrison, Ethan, and Dalton Bell. Granddaughter, Aubrey Webb. Two great-granddaughters, Blakely and Taytum Smith. She was a great friend to many and will be dearly missed. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to breast cancer awareness.
