Melanie Kay Martin, age 48 of Shelbyville, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at her residence. She was born in Tullahoma on August 5, 1974. Melanie was currently employed at Tyson Foods in Shelbyville. An avid Alabama “Roll Tide” football fan, she also enjoyed fishing, listening to country music, and watching television. A faithful mother, daughter, and friend, Melanie was passionate about life. She attended Salem Church of Christ in Murfreesboro. She was preceded in death by her father, Randall Ervin Tate; and brother, Troy Tate. Melanie is survived by her sons, Tristan (Emily) Wagner, Kaleob (Megan) Ashley, and Kayden Burnette; grandsons, Adler and McCoy Wagner; mother Pamela “Pam” Crownover; brother, Jeffrey Tate; sister, Shelia Solomon; and nephews, Cole Tate and Troy Tate. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 16, 2023, at Franklin Memorial Gardens with Bro. Mike Robinson officiating.
