Melanie Vinson Profile Photo  Melanie Josephine Vinson, 68, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Melanie was born February 23, 1956, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Anthony Sansone and Mary Kathryn Garrett Sansone.

Melanie earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Mississippi State University and was a devoted fan of her beloved Bulldogs, cheering them on with pride. As a dedicated member of Wesley United Methodist Church, she found fulfillment in her faith and fellowship. She also cherished the love and time shared with her family.

A devoted Elvis Presley fan, she was an enthusiastic member of his fan club and an avid collector of Elvis memorabilia, dedicating an entire room in her home to honor the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. Melanie found happiness in nurturing her flower garden.

Melanie leaves behind her husband of 43 years, Sonny Vinson of Tupelo, and their daughter, Blair Vinson of Tupelo.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be 4 until 7 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Pegues, Tupelo.

Services honoring her life will be 2 p.m. Sunday, November 10, 2024, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues with Minister Chad Ramsey officiating. Graveside services will follow in Tupelo Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Shelley Fugett, Grant Fugett, Skylar Horn, Broderick Sanders, Dana Cobb, and Kristen White.

Honorary pallbearers will be friends and caregivers at Rosewood Assisted Living.
