McKenzie Barrett passed away on November 17, 2024 at age 17. The Funeral Service, conducted by Brother Danny Sellars, is 6 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2024 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Thursday from noon until the service at 6 p.m.
McKenzie Michelle Barrett was born in Hermitage TN to Holly Noel Barrett and Kyle Beckman. McKenzie loved making people laugh, listening to music, dancing, shopping, and going to school. She enjoyed spending time with her family, planting flowers and playing on her phone. McKenzie won first place several times in Special Olympics. She was also voted Gallatin Highschool Class of 2025 Home Coming Queen.
McKenzie is survived by her mother Holly (Michael) Kelly; father: Kyle Beckman; siblings: Bryson Beckman, Dalton Beckman, and Westlynn Kelly; grandparents: Catina Barrett and Lisa Lovett, Mike (Carol) Beckman; great-grandmother: Wanda Barrett aka “Nanny”; aunts: Diana “Aunt D” Trice, Taylor Martin, Hannah Bokor, and Mya Terry; uncles: Blake Beckman, Cross (Melanie) Beckman, Casey Wright, Aaron Lovett, Robert Barrett, and Dillian Hasty; and many beloved cousins, extended family members, and friends. She is preceded in death by grandfather William Edward Hasty and great-grandfather James Barrett.
