Funeral Services for Mr. Maylon “Junior” Mullally, Jr., age 89 of Lineville, will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Rev. Kevin Acre and David Miles officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Church (North) Cemetery.

Mr. Mullally passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Clay County Hospital. Born in Cleburne County, he lived most of his life in Clay County. Junior was a member of the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a man of many trades; he was a cattle farmer, carpenter, roofer and a truck driver.

He is survived by his companion of 21 years, Mary Jo Mitchell, his daughter, Barbara Mullally, two sons: Forney Gene Mullally and Mark Mitchell (Hattie), his sister, Joyce Aucoin, three brothers: Ray, Royce and Jimmy Mullally (Kathy), six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maylon Mullally, Sr. and Evie Jones Mullally, his wife of 48 years, Betty P. Mullally, two brothers: Bobby and Albert “Sonny” Mullally, four sisters: Marie Mullally, Francis Watts, Alice Moore and Inez Mitchell.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville from 5:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and until service time on Saturday.

Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville is in charge of the arrangements.
