May Belle Mitchell Carpenter, 72, passed away Monday, May 25, 2015, at NMMC in Tupelo. She was born March 28, 1943 to the late Willard Mitchell and the late Cynthia Crouch Mitchell. She worked at Daniel’s Nursing Home for many years of service. She was a Baptist in belief. She enjoyed NASCAR and loved the Christmas holidays with all the lights. She especially enjoyed having the family over and cooking for them all.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas “Tommy” Carpenter, Sr. of Fulton, Sons: Gary (Kim) Carpenter of Belmont, Thomas (Cricket) Carpenter, Jr. of Tremont, and Corey Carpenter of Fulton; Daughters: Debra (Bob) Harrelson of New Albany, Patricia (Don) Umfress of Dorsey, Carolyn Thompson of Tupelo, Wanda (Michael) Mauldin of Fulton, Shelia (Johnny) Poole of Belmont, Barbara Carpenter of Fulton, and Amber Mauldin of Fulton; a host of Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren; Sisters: Helen (Jerry) Smith and Mary Fay (Lee Roy) Edwards both of Nettleton; Brothers: Hugh V. (Ruth) Mitchell of Fairview, Ricky (Kim) Mitchell of Henderson, TN, and Danny (Clymeta) Mitchell of Fulton.

Preceded in death by her parents, 6 siblings, 3 grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Eric Carpenter, Mikie Mauldin, Dallas Carpenter, Cody Riley, Corey Carpenter, Austin Carpenter, Gregory Neighbors, and Thomas Carpenter III.

Honorary Pallbearer is Tristan Shorter and honorable mention to Zachary Carpenter, her late great-grandson.
